Probably more of a crowd. I mean I always see the same crowd out. But the Peel is quite good every now and then, just to have a good time and get trashed! I’d like to see lots of happy faces, more friendly people and not so many pretentious people.

A little bit more glamour, a little bit more effort - like it used to be at dance parties. You used to get value for money, you’d go out, have a great time – they used to do the place up, put a lot of effort into making the place look good and everybody had fun. I think that it’s really lacking that at the moment.

More mixed nights. I don’t think there’s a need to be exclusively gay any more. I like the Market because it’s open to a mixed crowd, the staff are fantastic, they’re friendly, you feel welcome and it’s a good party space. The other thing I’d like to see more of is Kylie!

I’m a lesbian, and I don’t want to go to an all gay venue – you want a mixed crowd. I think Wonderland’s hit the spot – it’s got the right crowd, the right venue and the right music. Kandy bar is probably my favourite, they’ve got a good mixed crowd and they get the music right every night. It’s not all about the drugs; it’s about getting the right people in the right venue.

I’d like to see more DJs. A good night out for me is good music and a good crowd. The best party I ever went to was 2005 New Year’s Raw Hide recovery at Motel. It was great music and great atmosphere – I’d like to see more clubs like that.
