Slave Market
eBay, eat your heart out… while wearing a leather harness and nothing else. Yes, this fantasy and many others could come true, if only eBay were a tangible human being that could be auctioned off for charity this Saturday for NAG!’s Slave Market 2005 at the Laird.
This annual event is a fundraiser for The David Williams Fund, which provides direct financial support for Victorians Living with HIV/AIDS. 100% of all entry donation raffle ticket sales and purchase of ‘slaves’ will benefit the David Williams Fund.
Enough of that though, you want to hear what you can do with your man-meat. Everything is arranged prior to the auction, so your potential slave will state what he is willing to do before going under the hammer (and by the by, going ‘under the hammer’ is an auctioneer term, not a sadomasochist thing – though for enough money you never know, the world’s your oyster whip). As the official release states: "You may need your house or car cleaned a spot of gardening or mowing the lawn, perhaps you need your leathers spit ‘n polished or be looking for more intimate attention: any arrangements made (after sale and payment) is by mutual consent between both parties."
The opening bid for each ‘slave’ is $10.00 and rises in tens, until things get really serious with $5.00, $2.00 and finally $1.00 bids. If the bidding get slow, sponsors prizes will be added to boost the bidding till the slave is sold.
Not content with watching from the sidelines, MCV is getting in on the action. Our very own office slave slash Sales Manager Alex is the last (but not least) slave to be auctioned off, so don’t miss that one. As our excited up-start says, "I just hope someone's got some money left by the time I'm up." I will, Alex… I will…
Laird, Saturday October 8 from 9:30pm. Entry $5 donation.
